Recently been catching up with Johnny Vella, vocalist for 'Ironheart' and of course one of our first ever bands all those years ago 'Rock 7'.

John's been keeping himself busy the last couple of years with his own particular take on Elvis Presley and he's been absolutely bringing the house down where ever he's performed!

He's been an absolute Elvis freak for as long as I can remember and I must say he's really got the gig down!... the voice, the moves n'all... take a look if you get a chance!

The band's called 'President Presley and the Secret Service band'.

Great stuff John and thanks for looking after us on the cruise, it was a great day!
Taking in some great Sydney Harbour views on the rockin harbour cruise between John's Elvis sets.

Not much happenin gigwise folks.... at least not for a while anyway! In the meantime... you may wish to take a look at this live footage taken from a jam in the Village Club in Germany back in 2004.

Note:
If the video starts to freeze up... just pull the playback lever back a few steps!

A little about this clip!

This was a purely improvised jam session in the Village Blues Club in Habach, Southern Germany back in 2004.

The clubs owner Dieter Uebler (aka D.D Blues) was kind enough to loan me his 'self built' custom made Telecaster, a beautiful guitar! The 3 guys on stage with me were just great considering they didn't know the material, nor where on earth I was going to go with it!

The first two tracks are my own originals and the last is my own personal take on Chuck Berry's 1957 classic 'Down Bound Train'.

None of these songs had ever been performed on stage before so it's all a bit rough and ready!... but that's rock'n'roll!

Spending much of my time in the studio these days, mainly working on new stuff. Working on a new album, but in the interim there'll be a single coming out, first one I've ever done... most likely on the Laughing Outlaw label and it'll be out in the very near future... it's a rather interesting re-work of a great Australian song from yesteryear and it features some absolutely stunning piano work from my good friend and ex Whispers member Benny Patis. Benny also helped me out on the song's arrangement.
